Snowdonia photography

A grand day out.

Ben Carpenter and I zipped across to Caernarfon airport in North Wales, hoping the weather would hold out. Misty overcast grey days are not good for aerial photograpohy and considerably worse for helicopters at £750 per hour and flying over ridges at low altitude.

We arrived and got airborne by midday with only sun on the coast. All good stuff - very exciting hanging out and after previous expeditions to the Lakes and the Peak District I was chuffed to find a technique that allowed me to stand outside without being relentlessly buffeted by the wind. Streaming eyes and high wind speeds mean focussing your camera is a bit tricky...
